Veterans and Family Members that intend to utilize Department of Veteran Affairs Educational Assistance should review our Finanical Aid page for details on the application process and required documentation to process and certify eligible recepients. Current Rates for Housing Allowance for Post 9/11 GI Bill: Bogalusa Campus $1090 per month, Hammond Campus $1339 per month, Greensburg Campus $1282 per month. *****Rates are based on the Campus you attend, not your place of residence*****

Northshore Technical Community College will review prior learning credits, such as Military Training & Military Rank, for possible credits towards your degree path. Please submit all documentation as soon as possible to ensure adequate time to review all transcripts. If you are planning to use Veteran Affairs benefits we must obtain a copy of your JST or CCAF transcript IAW Department of Veteran Affairs regulations. 

Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard Veterans

- Please use this link to obtain your Joint Service Transcript (JST) which contains all Military Traning, Courses, and Service Schools attended. https://jst.doded.mil/smart/signIn.do

Air Force Veterans

- Please use this link to obtain your Community College of the Air Force Transcript (CCAF). http://www.au.af.mil/au/barnes/ccaf/transcripts.asp

Once you have obtained your JST or CCAF Transcript, please contact the Veteran Affairs Coordinator at jamesulfers@northshorecollege.edu to set up a review. Credits may be applied towards your degree with the approval of the Program Dean and/or Vice Provost. We accept CLEP & DSST Exams under the recommendation of the American Council on Education (ACE) Guide.
